This is an original prop of Jack Sparrow’s compass used during the production of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
Jack’s compass is one of his most precious tools and points him to whatever his heart desires most. Be it the isla de muerta or the fountain of youth!

This is a production made solid rubber stunt version that would have been used as part of Jacks costume where a functioning version wasn’t needed.
Stunt versions of props are often used on set to protect the actors during filming or when a less complicated light-weight version is required.
These were used to hang from Jacks belt throughout the films, but with the thinner raised detailing on the lid this one most closely matches the style seen in the first installment of the franchise; Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
